Abstract

Dinoyo River is one of the important rivers in Lamongan Regency which flows in the middle of the city bustle and crosses residential, market and agricultural areas along the river. The Dinoyo River has the potential to be impacted by activities flowing from the previous river. This can have an impact on reducing the quality of the environment both in terms of physical, chemical and microbiological. One solution to improve water quality and reduce pollutant loads in water is the addition of EM4. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of adding EM4 as an agent in increasing water in the Dinoyo River, Lamongan Regency. This research includes quantitative research with this type of research, namely experimental research design. Sampling was carried out at two locations of the Dinoyo River and testing of water quality parameters in the data analysis laboratory using statistical testing using the Shapiro-Wilk Normality Test and one way Anova. The most effective addition of Microorganism Effectiveness (EM4) in improving water quality in the Dinoyo Lamongan river for the TDS parameter is the addition of 50% EM4, the TSS parameter is the addition of 75% EM4, and the BOD parameter is the addition of 75% EM4. The TDS physics parameter test shows sig = 0.000, the value is <0.05 TSS shows sig = 0.01, the value is <0.05, the test results are significantly different, the BOD Chemical parameters sig = 0.001, the value is <0.05, the test results are significantly different. The test results for all parameters that have been tested show significant values
